I’m excited to share our latest Doom inspired environment project, created alongside 16 of my classmates over the past 10 weeks. Throughout the project, everyone took on different responsibilities and worked closely together to bring the scene to life.
My main contribution was creating a large container asset with two different variations, one with a tarp cover and one without. I also contributed to the project’s trim sheet work alongside one of my teammates, where I sculpted part of the damaged stone details in ZBrush. This was my second time properly using ZBrush, so it was a valuable experience that helped me improve my sculpting workflow and understanding of the software.
In addition, I was part of a four-person set dressing team responsible for building the final atmosphere of the environment. We spent many hours placing static meshes, decals, props, and environmental details throughout the scene to make the world feel more immersive and lived in. Alongside the environment work, I was responsible for the cinematic camera shots, presentation renders, and final video editing for the showcase. I experimented with different compositions and camera movements to best highlight the environment and the work our team created together.
